Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She began her professional life at the age of thirteen, at the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Following that, Molly portrayed Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and received a nomination for the Barrymore Award. In 2002, she performed the same role as Into the Woods in Broadway at the age of fifteen and was awarded an Drama League Award nomination. Molly played the role in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof (2004). After that, she went to Princeton University and was a member of Princeton's Triangle Club. She graduated with a bachelor's degree the year 2008. In 2008, she graduated with a B.A. In the year 2000, Wendy Greenhut made her Disney College Road Trip debut. Her career path continued following graduation with several Off Broadway plays, among those was End Days by Ensemble Studio Theater. Molly also worked as a TV actress as a character in Royal Pains as well as the HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys.
